This is a mash-up arrangement of the John Coltrane version of My Favorite Things by Rodgers and Hammerstein and Break On Through by the Doors. The mash up mixes metres and takes a great deal of liberty in combining and elaborating on the Doors melody and associated riffs. This relatively short section sits in the middle of the My Favorite Things form to act as a melodic and thematic antidote to the sentimental message of the Hammerstein lyrics. Mash-up composition by Katheryn Petersen with extemporaneous solos by Katheryn Petersen and Mike WT Allen.
